What kinds of names would a female Kuru or a male Kuru have?

Also would the Kuru be the Sorin themselves or would they be another group or race of birds that the Sorin ran into or fought?

In the time it would take to pronounce one letter of their true names, a trillion cosmoses would flare into existence and sink into eternal night...

And, nope.

Basically the Kuru and the Sorin would have lived and died at two different times where they never would have ran into one another.

Due to my not-so-perfect-English skills I need to ask something involving the story. Do these birds live in the same planet in which the story is taken place or are these Karo-birds? Sorry if I bother you but this has make me wondering so long.

Btw this is definitely one of your best pictures I have seen. :D

Thanks! =D  Glad you think so!

These birds are on the same planet as the story, just centuries earlier.  I SORT of think of them as the Ancient Rome of the story world.  They'll be explored in detail in coming chapters (and possibly more art because they're really fun to draw for ^v^)

The detail in this painting is just outstanding, I am amazed at the color/lighting ratio, desert theme, older equipment and foreign symbols giveing it the look of what diffent lives are lived in Avea, or if I am mistaken a possible look at the history.

With spears, colored feathers, sharp stature, impressive wardrobes and illuminated pure white eyes put these birds into the category of the most fierce I have yet seen. I must ask, what is he story behind this piece off art?

Keep up the great work man, I must admit that is in the top of the charts for being one of the best work of art that I have yet to have seen from you.

This is a look back through history ^v^ the Avea equivalent of Ancient Rome as I figure it.  Thanks for the keen interest in this image ^v^

As far as the story goes, it's intended to be somewhat mysterious.  It's some sort of march through the night across the desert plateaus parading a skeletal puppet of some large crane-like bird....but for what purpose is something to be uncovered by intrepid archaeologists.  The two birds you see prominently are the leaders of this procession, perhaps a queen, priestess, or some sort of leader...the other is likely her personal guard.  Beyond that, the mystery remains.  It's also supposed to inspire a sense of ghostly presence as the modern birds who call these lands their home are very superstitious about these former empire builders...some scars run very deep...so this could also be thought of as a modern interpretation of their fearsome presence transcending the ages.

Thanks very much!  This one came together amazing, I will admit...definitely surpassed my expectations ovo.  I'll certainly try to keep on improving!  Thanks again! ^v^

I really can't make a lengthy comment right now XD there are only so many ways I can say "This is fa-nominal" so I'm just going to summarise this picture with that and that this is quite easily you're best piece yet :3.

It makes me wonder if these birdies are blind though...and how they can use spears without any arms and legs XD

They're dexterous with those claws they have... X3 and no they're not blind...but they certainly do something to their eyes to make them ghostly white.  It's part of their culture.

Thanks man! ^V^

thank goodness for dexterousness :dummy: interesting anatomy for birds, my friend ^^

So it's kind of like what Asari can do with their eyes when they do some kind of ritual, be it mating or giving a verbal message through memories XD...assuming you played Mass Effect O_o

you're very welcome ^^

Actually I think it's more dye or something ovO

Nope....they just....do something with their eyes that removes pigment...or wear some kind of ancient version of a "contact" over them...haven't really decided exactly X3  But it's part of their culture to look like this, so whatever it is, it's pretty important to them

Well done man, and I agree with Alex this is a refreshing contrast to the ultra high-tech society that encompasses the rest of Avea, if this is indeed Avea and another culture that inhabits it. May I ask what bird species the Kuru are? Looking forward to more drawings of this nature. :)

Thanks man! They're caracara ^v^ and while yea, it is nice to explore the less techy side of things, these guys are sorta like a bird version of ancient Rome.  Predates the current civilization by quite a bit and provides the foundations for a lot of current civilization, yet is completely foreign.  It was said of Rome..."if you go ancient Rome, cling to what you recognize" more or less because so little of it would be familiar.  Same can be said of the Kuru...foundations were laid, but there's no way it'd be recognizable to modernity.

I did once get to go to the real city of Rome and it's wild how in the center of the city you see a giant 30 foot deep pit with the old ruins sticking out of it and you stand at street level in the city and look down into the giant pit with the ruins in them. Also the old buildings of Rome are fairly monstrous even by modern standards. I also did go inside of a 1000 year old Church that was cavernous and in good shape but it was huge on the inside.
